March 2025 Real Estate Update NW GA

By March 5, 2025No Comments

Hello Northwest Georgia!

Wanted to make a post about what’s been up with us and what’s up with the real estate market!

As most of you know, last year Mike and I encouraged our son in law Jon Burke to open his own Company and in December he did it!  He is now the proud Broker-Owner of Fairway Property Management LLC and we’re so excited and thrilled for him to continue providing excellent residential property management and sales services.

The rest of the Stotts rebranded Northwest Atlanta Properties into Stott Homes LLC as we welcomed our youngest son Matthew Stott into the business full time as a Property Manager and Residential Salesperson. There also had always been confusion with our name, with many people thinking we worked the NW quadrant of the city of Atlanta, so we went with our name this time, having been The Stott Team in Hawaii when we left there 17 years ago.  Matt has been working with us for a year and a half in roles designed to get him to know the business well from the ground up and is  more than ready for the challenge!  I have to say I’ve been impressed… I guess that UGA degree in business and property management paid off well.

The two companies split up our Property Management accounts and Stott Homes is ready to GROW with all our systems firmly in place and working smoothly. Jon had handled that side for us for so long it took us a month or so to get the processes down on our own.  As always, we sell homes and rentals in the NW Georgia area and we’d love to grow back up to 50 property management accounts by end of this year, so if you have a residential property you’d like us to look at for the purpose of selling or managing it as a rental, please reach out. Our location remains the same at 3380 Trickum Rd 1300/100, Woodstock GA 30188 and our phone number is 770-726-1256.  Donna also continues to Coach a few Realtors as well as being Broker of our office and working side-by-side with Matthew daily so if you know a Realtor that could use a Coach, reach out for that service as well.

Lastly, I’d like to let you know the real estate market and rental market remain strong and hasn’t been this stable in many years. Slow, steady growth is expected but not the double digit appreciation of the early 2020’s. I think we all had enough of that and are in high hopes that Cherokee County in particular begins building more affordable attainable homes that our teachers, police, nurses and firefighters can afford without having to go outside the county. We work hard on that with the Cherokee Association of Realtors and by offering advice to the Cherokee Housing Authority, to whom Mike has spoken for a number of times.

We look forward to serving your needs in real estate.
Donna, Mike, and Matt Stott
